Historic Downtown Baton Rouge 2 Bed / 1 Bath Carriage House. Our home is 1500 sq ft comfortable Living Room opens to a Dining Room that seats 8. The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook the perfect meal. Bedrooms have Queen beds and share a bathroom.

Good to know

Our home was built in the 1850s, and is centrally located in Downtown Baton Rouge. We have free off-street parking. The entire unit is 3000 sq ft, and was originally a Carriage House. It has been converted into three units. The unit you are currently viewing is Apartment A. If you are interested in renting all three units for a larger group, please let us know!

No Smoking in the house. We will charge a $500 cleaning fee. Feel free to smoke on the porch. If you are traveling with an animal that is not a dog, please notify us.

Accessibility

Neighborhood

This section of Downtown is mostly commercial. So weekdays are active, evenings are quiet, weekends are even quieter. You are within a short walk of groceries, restaurants, and bars. Most of which is about three blocks away on 3rd St. Access to I-110/I-10 is extremely easy and only minutes away.

Guest Access

Guests also have access to laundry. It is shared between the three apartments, and is on the ground floor.

Tommy is an exceptional host who is incredibly passionate about Baton Rouge. He had the best recommendations for any traveler regarding places to go and the best food in town. The house is absolute gem, it possesses a unique bohemian vibrancy to it but remains unequivocally classy. The house is in a prime location, close enough to walk to excellent food and good bars yet far enough to be in a peaceful sector. Close enough to quickly get to any LSU game.

We visited the listing for a return to trip to our college town. I lived downtown for years and staying in the listing really brought me back. I love the area and the house was great. Spacious for our party and easy access to downtown, garden district, and LSU campus. Would recommend. Thanks!
